About Kotak Mahindra Bank

Kotak Mahindra Bank is one of India’s largest private sector banks, headquartered in Mumbai and operating a branch and ATM network that reaches metros, state capitals and a large number of tier-2 and tier-3 towns. Alongside retail and corporate banking, the group spans life and general insurance, asset management, securities and investment banking — which means a career that starts at a branch counter can move sideways into wealth, credit or product roles over time.

For candidates, the practical appeal is scale and structure: defined grades, published incentive plans, formal training programmes and a clear path from frontline service into relationship and management positions.

Roles we are currently listing

At the moment our Kotak listings centre on Platinum Banker — Branch Banking (Inbound) positions. This is a branch-based relationship role: you handle customers who walk into the branch, manage a portfolio of Platinum-segment clients, understand their financial needs and recommend suitable products.

  • Experience: typically 1 – 5 years in banking, sales or customer relationship work
  • Qualification: graduate in any stream
  • Salary band: broadly ₹3.25 – ₹6.5 LPA depending on city and experience, plus performance incentives
  • Type: full-time and permanent, day shift with fixed timings
  • Benefits: health insurance, provident fund, structured training and internal growth opportunities

What the bank looks for

Across branch-facing roles the recurring requirements are consistent, and worth mirroring in your resume:

  • Clear spoken communication in English plus the language customers actually use in that branch
  • Evidence that you have met a target — deposits mobilised, cross-sell numbers, portfolio value handled
  • Working knowledge of core products: savings and current accounts, fixed and recurring deposits, insurance, mutual funds and loans
  • Comfort with KYC, compliance and process discipline, which are non-negotiable in a regulated environment
  • A service-first temperament — Platinum customers are the branch’s highest-value relationships

How the hiring process usually runs

  1. Application screening against experience, location and qualification criteria
  2. Telephone screening covering your background, current CTC, notice period and reason for change
  3. Branch or cluster interview, often with the Branch Manager and a Cluster or Regional Head
  4. Product and situational questions — expect to be asked how you would handle a specific customer scenario
  5. Offer, documentation and background verification, followed by onboarding and induction training
