Frequently asked questions
Applications, eligibility, salaries, safety and how this site works — answered plainly.
Applying for jobs
How do I apply for a job on GohirePro?
Open the vacancy you are interested in, read the full description, and use the apply link on that listing. It takes you to a short form where you enter your details and attach your resume. There is no account to create and no password to remember.
Do I need to register or create an account?
No. You can browse every listing and submit an application without registering. We deliberately kept it that way — an account adds friction without helping you get hired.
Can I apply without a resume?
You can submit the form without attaching a file, but your chances drop sharply. Employers shortlist on the resume. If you do not have one, write a plain document with your education, work history with dates, key responsibilities and contact details, and save it as a PDF.
What file formats can I upload?
PDF, DOC, DOCX and RTF, up to 5 MB. PDF is the safest choice because your formatting will look the same on every device.
Can I apply for multiple jobs?
Yes, and you should apply to every role you genuinely qualify for. What does not help is applying to everything indiscriminately — recruiters notice, and it slows the shortlist down for everyone.
I applied but have not heard anything. What now?
Employers contact the candidates whose profiles match the role, usually within two to four weeks. Because of application volumes, individual rejection responses are not always sent. Your profile stays on file for future openings in your city and function.
Can I edit or withdraw my application?
There is no self-service edit. Email support@gohirepro.com from the address you applied with, quoting the job title, and we will update or remove it.
Eligibility and qualifications
What qualifications do I need for a banking job?
For most frontline roles, a graduate degree in any stream is the baseline. Credit, risk and treasury positions often prefer commerce or finance backgrounds, MBAs or professional qualifications. Each listing states its own requirement — always read it before applying.
Can freshers apply?
Yes, for roles that say so. Many branch banking and sales positions accept candidates with zero to one year of experience, and some banks run dedicated trainee programmes. Check the Requirements section of each listing.
Which certifications actually help?
NISM certifications (for mutual funds and securities) and IRDAI certification (for insurance) have the fastest payback, because they immediately widen what you are permitted to sell. JAIIB and CAIIB from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance are well regarded and often linked to increments. Our career guide covers this in more detail.
Is there an age limit?
Private sector banks generally do not publish an age limit for lateral hires; they screen on experience. Public sector bank recruitment through IBPS and SBI examinations does have prescribed age limits, with relaxations for reserved categories. Those exams are separate from the vacancies listed here.
Do I need to speak the local language?
For branch and customer-facing roles it is a genuine advantage and sometimes a stated requirement, because you will be serving walk-in customers. Mention every regional language you speak in your application.
Salary and the hiring process
Are the salaries shown accurate?
We publish the band as stated by the employer at the time of listing. Where you land within it depends on your experience, the city and how you negotiate. Treat the figure as a band, not a promise, and confirm the exact number in writing before you accept.
How long does hiring take?
Typically two to four weeks — a telephone screening, one or two interview rounds, then documentation and background verification. It varies by employer and location.
What should I expect in a banking interview?
Questions about your product knowledge, how you handled targets in your last role, and situational scenarios about difficult customers. Be ready to state real numbers from your current job. Our role guide lists common questions.
Are the roles permanent or contractual?
Each listing states its employment type. Most vacancies we carry are full-time and permanent, but always check the Job Type line.
Safety and fees
Does GohirePro charge candidates anything?
No — never, at any stage. No registration fee, processing fee, training fee, security deposit or placement commission. If anyone asks you for money in our name, it is fraud. Read our fraud and safety page and report it to us.
Someone called offering a guaranteed bank job for a fee. Is that you?
No. We do not make outbound offers of guaranteed jobs, and we do not take payments from candidates. Do not pay, keep the evidence, and report it to support@gohirepro.com and to cybercrime.gov.in or the 1930 helpline.
What do you do with my personal data?
We use it to process your application and share it with the employer for the role you applied to. We do not sell your resume or contact details. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
How do I get my data deleted?
Email privacy@gohirepro.com from the address you applied with and ask for deletion. We action requests within 30 days.
About this site
Is GohirePro a bank or a recruitment agency?
Neither. We are an independent job listing platform for banking and financial services roles. We are not affiliated with any bank, and hiring decisions are made entirely by the employer.
How often are new jobs added?
Listings are added as employers release vacancies. Check the jobs page regularly, and apply early — most positions close once enough suitable applications arrive.
I am an employer. How do I list vacancies?
Email employers@gohirepro.com with your organisation name, the roles and the locations, or use our post a job page.
